"Z" represents "direct" current, "2" represents the second national finalization design. The numbers after the horizontal line indicate the frame number and the length of the core. Take the Simo motor Z2-41 as an example. "4" represents the No. 4 frame, and "1" represents a short core. While in Z2-112, "11" represents the No. 11 frame, and "2" represents a long core.
- The Z2 series small DC motors are the standard series small DC motors specified in the ministry standard JB1104-68 of the Ministry of Machinery Industry of the People's Republic of China.
- The Xi'an Simo Z2 series small DC motors are divided into 11 frame numbers in total, and each frame number has two core lengths. There are three types manufactured: DC motors, DC generators, and DC voltage-regulating generators, which are suitable for general normal working environments. The Z2 series small DC motors are used for general transmission, the generators are used as general DC power sources, and the voltage-regulating generators are used for battery packs.
- Excitation method: The motors are shunt-excited or separately-excited with a small amount of stabilizing windings.
- The generators are compound-excited or separately-excited (for generators with a rated voltage of 230 volts); the voltage-regulating generators are shunt-excited (without a series-excitation winding).
- The separately-excited voltage of the motors is made into two types: 110 volts or 220 volts.
- For motors with a rated voltage of 110 volts, there is only one type of separately-excited voltage, which is 110 volts.
- The motors can be driven by V-belts, spur gears, or elastic couplings, and the motor bearings should not bear axial thrust.
- According to the usage requirements, the Xi'an Simo Z2 series motors can be made into wet tropical type (TH) DC motors with moisture-proof, mildew-proof, and anti-smoke performance for use in wet tropical regions, which should be subject to separate agreements.
- The Z2 series No. 2-11 can also be made into a derivative mechanism of the ZYS-A type tachometer.
- The basic series of the Z2 series motors are self-ventilated motors. When the applied armature voltage is reduced for downward speed regulation, the torque decreases correspondingly with the decrease of the speed.
- The Z2 series No. 6-11 motors can also be made into an external blower structure type, and the blower is installed above the end cover of the shaft extension end.
- The models of the external blowers of the Z2 series No. 6-11 motors are shown in Table 1.
- The Xi'an Simo Z2 series motors are small DC motors for general industrial use. The motors are suitable for electric drives with a constant power speed regulation range not greater than 2:1 and an overload capacity not greater than 1.5 times the rated torque. They can be used in industries such as metal cutting machine tools, papermaking, dyeing and weaving, printing, and cement. The generators can be used as power sources for power, lighting, or other constant voltage power supplies.

In order to improve the quality of various electromechanical products, strengthen pre-sales and after-sales services, and make customers feel at ease and satisfied, Simo Motor resolutely implements the "Quality Assurance Statement" of eight scientific research and design institutes in the machine tool industry of the Ministry of Machinery Industry, conscientiously implements all the clauses in the statement, and strictly follows the rules and regulations of the ISO9001:2000 quality management system to ensure:
- Seriously implement relevant national standards, and strictly manufacture and inspect the products according to the standards or contract technical requirements. Unqualified products will not leave the factory.
- After the final assembly and on-line commissioning of various finished products such as product measurement bases, the assembly personnel conduct a 72-hour running test before delivery. Strictly conduct running-in tests and reliability tests according to relevant standards to improve the reliability of new products and eliminate early failures.

- Complete technical documents are provided when the product leaves the factory. All product quality problems are covered by three guarantees (repair, replacement, return). If the product still does not meet the factory requirements after repair, the product will be returned or replaced.
- Simo Motor products are guaranteed for lifetime maintenance at cost after being sold.
- When placing an order, please refer to the product catalog first to determine the model specifications and other data of the required product. Try to select the standard specification products listed in the catalog. Please indicate the motor model, power, voltage, rotation speed, excitation method, excitation voltage, and structural installation form in the order contract.
- For 2-pole motors with a power of 5.5kW and above and 4-pole motors with a power of 37kW and above, belt drive cannot be used.
- In the absence of special requirements, the default parameters of Simo motors are: installation method horizontal B3, insulation class B, protection level IP44.
